Heavy Body, Nutty and Sweet
For a darker roast reminiscent of Cuban style coffee we blend beans from Central America, South America and Indonesia. These coffees tend to be lower acidity, heavier bodied, often with sweet nuttier flavors. Our Cuban Blend/Cafe Cubano/Espresso Cubano is the only TRULY DARK coffee that we roast, with temperature and time exceeding second crack. Dark skin, where essential oils are produced abundantly and toasted tones become the norm…but never “burnt.” Caramelized and bitter-sweet tones with very low or no acidity is ideal for espresso, as well as a great cup.
